“Sex and the Church” I wish wasn’t on the album, along with the Lenny Kravitz guitar version of the title track which closes the album. “South Horizon” and “Bleed Like a Craze Dad” are both products of their time but substantially more interesting than anything he had done since Scary Monsters-especially if you’re a Mike Garson fan. “Ian Fish UK Heir” is great and moody that predicts some of the sounds we’ll hear on Outside. 1” wouldn’t sound out of place on Black Tie White Noise but I love this song substantially more than any tracks on BTWN. “The Mysteries” is one of his best instrumentals-worthy of placement on Heroes or Low. I wish we had another album in this shoegazy style. That's too bad, because The Buddha of Suburbia is an often engaging. until 1995, when it was slipped out in the wake of his new album, Outside. “Strangers When We Meet” is a perfect song. It was probably David Bowie's record-company affiliation difficulties that kept the 1993 Buddha of Suburbia soundtrack to a British TV miniseries from being released in the U.S. The project originated following an interview between Bowie and novelist Hanif Kureishi during a press tour for Black Tie White Noise (1993), where Bowie agreed to compose music. “Dead Against It” is essentially a dream pop/shoegaze song which is really cool to hear Bowie doing a take on. The Buddha of Suburbia is the 19th studio album a by English musician David Bowie, originally released on 8 November 1993 through Arista Records in the UK and Europe. Buddha of Suburbia is likely my favorite of his 90’s albums.
